Elias Marino

Chef Elias Marino's culinary journey began in the coastal kitchens of Charleston, where she learned the art of respecting ingredients and letting their natural flavors shine. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, she honed her craft in San Diego's most celebrated seafood restaurants.

Her philosophy is simple yet profound: "Simple ingredients, bold flavors, done right." At Salt & Ember, Chef Elias combines her deep knowledge of coastal cuisine with a passion for open-flame cooking, creating dishes that are both timeless and innovative.

When she's not in the kitchen, you'll find Chef Elias at the docks, building relationships with local fishermen, or experimenting with new wood-fire techniques on our patio.
